Real Estate Development
Brand & Identity
District Main, a prominent residential development in Vancouver, was intended to be the prototype building of a new blend of co-op, condo and higher-end rental property. With 5,000 square feet of community gardens, private gyms on each floor and a communal wine rack, this was not a typical development.
Faced with marketing two levels of amenities without creating resident stratification, we created two complementary ‘neighbourhoods’ — The Cube & The Gardens. We then produced one of the most comprehensive building branding programs in the city, delivering dozens of assets and a rich iconographic system.
Keeping with the building’s commitment to authenticity and community-building, we integrated the building’s internal twitter feed into the website — allowing website visitors a glimpse into the building’s culture without the veneer of marketing.
The end results were highly successful. The building filled to capacity in under two weeks, received a front page Westender profile, and was granted the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board’s ‘Merit Award’.
